Configure Your Computer's E-Mail Software

E-Mail Set-Up: Outlook 2003

 
Step 1.

Open Outlook 2003.

Click the 'Tools' menu, and select 'E-mail Accounts...'

 
 
Step 2.

Select 'Add a new e-mail account,' and click 'Next.'
 
 

Step 3.

Choose 'POP3' as your server type by clicking the radio button, and click 'Next.'
 
 

Step 4.

Fill in all necessary fields to include the following information:

User Information
Your Name: Enter your name as you would like it to appear in the 'From:' field of outgoing messages.
Email Address: Enter your full email address (username@domainname.com).

Server Information
Incoming mail server (POP3): pop3.intercityweb.com
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): your ISP's outgoing e-mail server information. (You may have to contact your ISP for this information.) If you are using InterCity Services for outgoing mail, enter: barracuda.intercityweb.com.

Login Information
User Name: Enter your email username (including '@domainname.com').
Password: Enter your email password.

Click 'More Settings...'.

 
 
Step 5.

Click the 'Outgoing Server' tab and check the box next to 'My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication'. Select 'Use same settings as my incoming mail server'.

Click 'OK'.

Click 'Test Account Settings...'.

 After receiving 'Congratulations! All tests completed successfully', click 'Close'.

Click 'Next' and then click 'Finish'.
